Drafting Styles

In the Project Environment dialog, Document Production > Drafting Styles defines drafting styles for the Piping Isometrics & Spools application as well as for the section views of Cable Router. Create the required drafting styles in the library database and approve them for use in the projects.

A drafting style sets up the drawing attributes for 2D annotations:

• The default text color.
• Pen for texts.
• Layer ID for texts when drawings are exported. The value is limited to the range 0–256. Layers are defined in Drawing Export Configuration, as described in Drawing export configuration.
• Type of text.
• Text size (height, width, spacing).
• Slant of text.
• Origin of text.
• Direction of text (0 is horizontal).

Example:

The settings in the drafting style are the default settings for the 2D objects (texts, lines, dimensions, and so on). If you change the settings of an object when annotating a page or view, the modified settings will become the default settings.
